When you interact with Noble Legacy Publishing we receive a small set of information, all of it provided directly by you or generated by your use of our site. This includes basic identity and contact details—your name, address, email, phone number or social-media handle—captured through enquiry forms, newsletter sign-ups and service agreements. If you pay us, we receive limited payment data such as invoice references and the last four digits of your card or bank account (the full details stay with Stripe, Wise or your bank). To deliver your book project we also handle author materials—manuscripts, cover files and marketing assets—shared via uploads, email or cloud folders. Like most websites, we gather modest usage data (page views, IP address, device/browser type) through cookies and anonymised Google Analytics, and we record your marketing preferences—whether you opened or clicked our emails—inside platforms such as Mailerlite or Mailchimp. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
We process your information chiefly to honour our agreement with you: preparing quotes, delivering publishing services and sending project updates—all under the lawful basis of contract. We also need certain details to process payments, issue invoices and keep proper accounts; that is required both by our contract with you and by legal obligations under tax law. With your consent, we may email newsletters or special offers, and you can opt out at any time. We analyse anonymous site usage and maintain security logs to keep the website running smoothly and deter fraud; we rely on legitimate interest for this, ensuring that it poses minimal privacy impact. Finally, we may retain data as needed to satisfy tax, accounting and anti-money-laundering laws, another clear legal obligation
We never sell or rent your data. We only share it with: Service providers – e.g., payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Wise), project tools (Google Workspace). Professional advisers – accountants, lawyers, auditors under confidentiality. Regulators or law enforcement – where required by law. Some providers are outside the UK/EEA (e.g., US). Transfers are protected by UK Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
TLS encryption on all site traffic. Role-based access controls; 2-factor authentication on core systems. Encrypted backups stored in the UK/EU. Annual security review of third-party vendors.
Client & Accounting Records: 7 years after last invoice (HMRC requirement). Marketing Contacts: until you unsubscribe or 24 months of inactivity. Manuscript Files: 12 months after project completion unless otherwise agreed. We securely delete or anonymise data once the retention period expires.
Under UK GDPR you can: Access – request a copy of your personal data. Rectify – correct inaccurate or incomplete data. Erase – ask us to delete data (“right to be forgotten”). Restrict – limit how we use your data. Data Portability – receive data in a machine-readable format. Object – to processing based on legitimate interest or direct marketing. Withdraw Consent – at any time, for activities based on consent. We will respond within one month. To exercise any right, email info@noblelegacypublishing.com.
You can lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): www.ico.org.uk · Tel +44 303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to deal with concerns first—please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, where appropriate, notified via email. The “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly.
